One of the great honors of a faith community is being present to one another through significant times in our lives. Our Pastor's consider it a privilege to officiate your baptism, wedding, or funeral. Please contact us, using the form below, with any additional questions.
Baptisms
Who should be baptized?
People of all ages can be baptized at Messiah. We baptize by sprinkling Holy Water and making the sign of the cross on the forehead with anointing oil to invite the presence of the Holy Spirit. We recognize baptisms from other faiths and churches and therefore do not re-baptize people.

When do baptisms occur?
Baptisms occur during select worship services throughout the year. To schedule a baptism, contact the church office at (763) 473-6968 for a specific date. You will also schedule a time to meet with a pastor in the week prior to the baptism to get acquainted, learn the meaning of baptism, and walk through the experience. We record videos of the baptisms and provide a copy to the family as well as a baptismal certificate.

Weddings
We're engaged, now what?
We are pleased that you are considering Messiah Church for your wedding! We want to help make your wedding as beautiful and meaningful as possible. All weddings at our church require the involvement of one of our church’s clergy as the officiating pastor and a wedding coordinator. The pastor will work with you to design your wedding service, and the wedding coordinator will be in charge of and direct all rehearsals and your wedding. All couples being married here attend pre-marriage counseling provided by our pastors.

What are my next steps?

Funerals
Someone I love has died, what now?
Planning the details of a funeral can be overwhelming. Let us help. Our Pastors and Congregational Care team will walk with you in the time before, and after, a death of a loved one. Your first step is to contact one of our Pastors or church office. We offer counseling and planning assistance for funerals, committals, and burials of cremains.
Funerals typically occur within days following death with a closed casket or urn usually present. We will help you plan a service that is worshipful and honors your loved one. We will help you select music and scripture, and guide you through the process. Committals take place at a cemetery and may follow a funeral or take place separately. We also have a columbarium where some families have chosen to have remains placed, located within our Celebration Garden behind the church building.
