Even Mr. Rogers...

Let's be honest: the journey of faith has struggles. Mister Rogers' (or Rev. Rogers’) message of love and acceptance accompanied a deep perfectionist streak, fueled by self-doubt and even anger. He felt keenly all that was wrong with the world, and all that was wrong within himself. He often voiced those fears and struggles through one of the key characters on his television program. Right before Rogers died, he wondered to his wife whether he was worthy – a reminder that even Mister Rogers struggled sometimes. And yet, we trust that God’s love was big enough for him, and is big enough for us.
