Messiah's Youth Mission Statement is "to provide a safe place where youth can hear, see and experience a mature relationship with God and where they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ." There are a variety of ways for youth to be involved here at Messiah. Senior high is defined as youth in grades 9-12. Some events require signups and a fee, but most are free and scholarships are available. Friends are welcome at all youth events.

Sunday School Classes during the school year meet during the 8:45 and 10:30 a.m. services. This is a great opportunity for students to deepen their relationships with God and each other in a small-group setting.

Messiah Youth Fellowship (MYF) is our weekly senior high youth fellowship meeting. We meet Wednesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Youth Room during the school year.

Confirmation Program takes place during a student's 9th grade year, but is also open to youth in grades 10-12 who have not been confirmed yet. Confirmation is a year for students to explore, develop and own their faith journeys and to learn more about what it means to be a member of the United Methodist Church. We meet on Sunday mornings (during the school year) at 10:30 a.m. except for the first Sunday of the month where confirmands are encouraged to attend service to complete Worship Summarys or work with their mentor.

Youth Worship Band: Youth Band is for students, grades 8-12, who sing or play an instrument and wish to use their gifts for the glory of God. The band leads worship on Wednesday nights during the school year, for Youth Sunday and other special events. Contact Joe Stevens about the band.

Senior High Breakfast Group meets on Tuesday mornings at the Plymouth Station Panera at 6:30 a.m. Rides are available to school for students who need them.

Service Programs: we believe service to be a key component for faithful Christian living. Monthly service projects through FaithWorks allow youth to discover the joy of serving others. FaithWorks typically meets the first Saturday of the month.

30 Hour Famine: World Vision's 30 Hour Famine program is a national campaign to raise money and awareness for world hunger and poverty issues. Youth fast for 30 hours, gathering together for an educational lock-in filled with service and fellowship opportunities.

Sleep Out for Homelessness: each November, we participate in Interfaith Outreach's sleep out for homelessness awareness.

Mission Trip Senior High Students have the opportunity to serve in Chicago, June 20-25.
